Alaska Airlines Your journey from home to Sure-Strike Lodge will include a stop over in Seattle, Washington. There you will board a ninety minute flight on Alaska Airlines to Ketchikan, Alaska. Upon landing at the Ketchikan airport, which is very small, and after picking up your luggage, you’ll need to check in with Pacific Airways, (20 feet from baggage claim). A representative from Pacific Airways will check your bags and escort you to your awaiting float plane bound for Prince of Wales Island and Sure-Strike Lodge. (Alaska Airlines is the only airline that travels in and out of Ketchikan) Pacific Airways Pacific Airways is our associated air taxi service to and from Prince of Wales Island. They operate a fleet of DeHavilland Beaver throughout southeast Alaska, with scheduled flights to Craig daily. Phone: 1-877-360-3500. Inter-island Ferry Serving the Prince of Wales Island community with a daily scheduled run between Hollis and Ketchikan, this ferry service departs from Hollis (POW) at 8:00 am to Ketchikan, and then departs at 3:30 pm from Ketchikan back to Hollis. Some guests like to take a little extra time coming or going from Sure-Strike Lodge to enjoy a beautiful three-hour cruise aboard this comfortable ferry. Overnight Option Guests purchasing a half-day of fishing on arrival may want to fly in a day in advance to get a little more fishing time in. We recommend these hotels and bed and breakfast.
